As I've been reading through chapters 18-20 I see Jesus speak of an act with mercy and generosity, teach forgiveness, ask us to live in peace with one another... throughout it Jesus' words in Matt 11:29,30 (from the Message) keep ringing through my heart and mind, drawing me into this overarching theme of "Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won't lay anything heavy or ill fitting on you. Keep company with me and you'll learn to live freely and lightly." "unforced rhythms" how foreign that is in our culture... or perhaps it's my generation... or me, the list person, the administrator... I yearn to live in unforced rhythms of grace, Jesus says I can learn them if I keep company with him, how amazing, how promising. I can learn to live "freely and lightly" not pressured and boxed in by demands. How awesome is that!!!
